I'm expericeing the same problem, but what do you mean by "disconnect your
system from the internet"? Turn off modem? unplug the cable? close the browser? -- ajb "Mercury" wrote: > To all that are getting the DWWIN.EXE error when they shutdown there > computer; I have found at least one cause. > > In my case I have an HP colorlaser jet 3500. Dear 1ajb,
The only solution that I have found to correct the "DWWIN.EXE" at shutdown is to upgrade your bios. However, that is not practical if your computer is an older model. HP will not take the blame for the problem; therefore, I am just living with the annoyance. I hope this helps. Do some clean boot troubleshooting to identify the program causing the problem. Then you can decide if you need to remove it or fix in some other fashion. D. Rock:
This is supposed to be a friendly site where people help one-and-other. Pardon me for accidently responding to you with my message; it was my error. Further, there has been no solution for me, but I do know what causes the problem! If you cannot be civil do not reply to me! I do not have time for "SPIRIT-KILLERS Mercury "Rock" wrote: > Mercury wrote: > > > D. You then, for whatever reason, decided the next day to address the same to me. I was just asking a simple question - specifically why you posted it to me - and to let 1ajb and and any others who read this thread know that just because it's what you found doesn't mean there is no (other) solution. I'm sorry you had a problem with the it but it wasn't intended to be derogatory toward you, and it certainly wasn't uncivil. It still isn't clear what all you tried and whether you tried clean boot troubleshooting. -- Rock MS MVP Windows - Shell/User |
