Is it a genuine MS application? If it is what does it do? Bob Burns |

If you are getting any kind of message, quote the exact text in your next post. That will enable people to answer your questions. Sorry. I should have been more specific.
I use Win Patrol, and the program keeps asking me if I want to add PC Health to my Start Up. I can see the PC Health folder in Program files, but I don't know if it is a legitimate MS application or some sort of malware. Thanks for your reply. I often see PC Health on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) machines like HP's. If you have an HP or Compaq, it may have come with the computer. Since you can see the PC Health folder, look and see if there is a Help file or some way you can identify it. Or if you have an OEM machine, check on their website to see if this is preinstalled software. I don't normally like stuff like that loading at startup, but do a little research in the PC Health folder to decide for yourself. Thanks for the reply Malke. I'll take a look in my Program folder.
Do you have PC Health on your computer? Win XP Home. Bob "Malke" wrote: > choppbobby wrote: > > > Sorry. I have a HP and have that program on mine. I seem to recall a recommendation
in the Win Me NG that it should be disabled, not because it's bad, but rather because it's a hog. In any event see the following explanation from Microsoft; http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de.../pc_health.asp "choppbobby" <choppbobby@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E1C491D2-F3D2-4CC3-A385-397581D4581F@microsoft.com... > Thanks for the reply Malke.
