after downloading a few updates from windows(not sure which ones), you cant
reinstall ie because it always says newer version detected-stopping install, which is fine, but what if you need to because of one problem or another-ive tried totally uninstalling ie and trying again, but my hp wont let me-after restatart, its right back there-(i think thats how it went), with stopping install message still always there.i realize thats a reinstall right there, but its something thats always annoyed me so i just quit the update thing after last xp reinstall, but hear again months later, its like that again-for informations sake, does anybody know where it is in reg or whatever that i.e. detects this information that i can delete? kelly, anybody? |

I can't remember off hand but it's everywhere on google. Look for "clean
install Internet Explorer". After you do the registry hack, make sure you put the IE folder in Program Files in the bin as well.
