Every time I type in a web address, previous web addresses will appear under
the display window. How do I delete previous entries in the smart box when using the internet? I do not want anyone to know where I've been on the internet. |

Then you also have to contend with the "History" that IE keeps. Check the
history button to see what I mean. If that is the case than you might be better to invest in a program to do the cleaning for you. I don't have experience with may but beware of so called "Free" security / privacy software that is in fact spyware, there is a lot of it about. I can suggest one package called from www.nsclean.com that you can check out for info even if you don't buy the product, I know the author and can vouch for his honesty, but before installing others wait for more opinions. Tools>internet options>content will get you to the autocomplete settings which you can turn off, but the history won't go away if you do that ![]() Charlie "Yikes" <Yikes@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:87E86D03-E56D-417F-853D-6B93CC9D8C50@microsoft.com... > Every time I type in a web address, previous web addresses will appear > under > the display window. While your there, you may as well clear your Temporary Internet files, and dlete your cookies. The "Smart Box," is actually called the Address Tool Bar. Best, Treeman -- Treeman |
