I tried creating a Hotmail shortcut on the desktop (I also tried Yahoo and
other internet programs) on my husband's computer and get the following message: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel". Why can't I do this? |

You create a new shortcut on your desktop and paste the line
I gave you into its Target field. Go to http://www.hotmail.com > if necessary, resize the IE window so you can
see the desktop behind it > "grab" the blue icon at extreme left of Addressbar (immediately in front of "http://www.hotmail.com") > drag the icon to the desktop. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Helen Arnoldus wrote: > I tried creating a Hotmail shortcut on the desktop (I also tried Yahoo and > other internet programs) on my husband's computer and get the following > message: "This file does not have a program associated with it for > performing this action.
