I have XP w/ Service Pack 2 and the problem we are having is accessing any
sites that we have set up to bypass proxy. We are only having problems with the current user logged in but when anyone else logs in we can access that site. Also, if we access the site by IP we can get to it with no problem, but not by name. It is not a resolution problem since I am able to ping the website by name. It is proved that all websites that we have for clients to bypass the proxy, this user is having problems. It looks like is something with his profile since all other users are able to access these sites and if we re-create the user's profile it works. We have done this a couple of times and no real solution and want to know if anyone can help me with this. thanks in advance. Victor |

Hi,
Have you dumped the TIF's and flushed the resolver cache? 1) While logged on as the user, Control panel/Internet Options/General tab - "delete files" 2) start/run cmd, run ipconfig /flushdns -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Victor" <Victor@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5969746B-85F6-4A48-B764-D915EBADD6F4@microsoft.com... >I have XP w/ Service Pack 2 and the problem we are having is accessing any > sites that we have set up to bypass proxy.
