Default Orphan files

I recently uninstalled Roxio Media Creator 7 but it didn't do a complete
uninstall. I have tried to reinstall it so I can uninstall it again and maybe
it will do a complete uninstallation this time. But, when I do, I get the
following error: "Windows Installer: The Installation source for this product
is not available . Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."
I have run Registry cleaner, RoziZap, that Windows cleanup program-don't
remember the name, Quickclean, Norton Cleansweep, System Mechanic, etc. but
nothing works. Also, I have copied the cd to my hard drive in hopes that
would help but it didn't. Does anyone know of a good program that will find
orphan files from incomplete uninstallations? I ran McAfee's Quickclean but
it told me there were no orphans but I know better than that. If anyone has
any ideas, please let me know. Jones

Quite a few programs don't fully remove everything on uninstall.
Sometimes you have to manually remove folders and registry entries. Go
to RMC's web site for info on fully uninstalling their product.

Unfortunately you have run so many things without understanding the
implications of what they do the only course of action likely to work is to
manually delete any remains, and then you run the risk of removing something
the system still has registered and will get more errors.

To be honest the message "Installation source is not available" looks like
either the CD has become corrupt (maybe just dirty?) or else you specified a
wrong path... or just possibly it's looking to download something from a
website.
