I just installed a web cam. The program works, however, I can't seem to
record my voice and play it. My speakers are working. I have the microphone
plugged in correctly. I even bought a new USB microphone and headset. The
indicator light says it is working when I'm in the web cam program, but when
I play it back (before emailing the message), there is no sound.

Try Start>AllProgs>Accessories>Entertainment>VolumeCon trol>Options>Properties
Click Recording radio button, check Mic , put a check (under Mic) in
Select .
