I too have problems with this demon. I thought I was downloading anti spyware
and when promted to reboot I got this message:
Expolrer.exe-Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022)
Click on OK to terminate the application
I have wallpaper and nothing else.
I can bring up the task manager and that is how I got here using Fire fox.
I have tried to retore and that does not good.
I am not very good with computers so unless someone can offer me a fairly
easy fix to this problem I may have to call in an expert $$$$$$$$$$
Hope some one can help, please.

Option 1:

* Start the computer > continually press F8, 'Windows Advanced Options' menu
should appear

* Using the arrow keys on your keyboard, select 'Last Known Good
Configuration' > Enter

* If a Boot menu appears > using the arrow keys, select 'Microsoft Windows
XP' > Enter



Option 2:

If you have 'System Restore' enabled, click Start > Programs > Accessories >
System Tools > System Restore

Restore to an earlier date that was working properly.
