As the subject states, I am having a problem getting images to show in
my browsers. I say browsers since I have tried it in IE 6.0, Netscape 8.0 and Firefox 1.04 and 1.07 and 1.5. Some of the images do show, but there are too many boxes with the red x showing in them. Some of the web sites I have tried are yahoo, msn, iwon and even eBay. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dan (Still going in circles) |

Was told its a "java" problem but there are so many variables, how do I know which to choose. Some fixes say one could do more harm than good. |

I experienced this same problem and some nice person in this newsgroup
posted the solution that fixed everything. He said to use Windows Explorer and go to the folder Windows\System32\Drivers\etc and rename the file Host to something else such as Host_old. Be sure it is the file named Host with no file extension. After renaming the file just reboot and you should be good to go. Wooly, I spotted an error code when I had the problem, it was showing a 127.0.0.1:1030/bug.cgi. I did a Google search on this and got several possible fixes. The big thing is if you are using Zone Alarm Pro. This is the URL I got my fix from: http://www.whmautopilot.com/forum/lo...php/t6102.html. Hope this helps you out a bit.
