winnt\system32\biosinfo.inf

biosinfo.inf should be in the \winnt\inf folder.

Do you have a Compaq? Call their tech support. Googling around indicates
this is an error with Compaqs and various software conflicts.
Otherwise, what changed between the time things worked and the time
they didn't?

i went to that addy
had been there already
i do not have an upgrade but a full install on a ner system so that addy
didn't aid
