Default Linking folders together

Within my computer (Windows XP) I would like to link one folder to another.
So when I am in one folder I can click a link which takes me to a second
folder located under a different heading on my computer. I don't want to link
and update the information between the two folders. Just be taken to the
second folder. Is it possible to do this action to numerous folders? If so,
could you explain the procedure to me. Thanks for any help you can give me.

What you are describing sounds like a simple shortcut. Open the parent
folder of your target folder, right-click on your target folder, and select
"Create Shortcut". Then cut-and-paste the shortcut into the folder you want
to "link" from. You can rename the shortcut (for example, to remove the
annoying "Shortcut To" prefix).

Have fun!

Create a shortcut to the second folder within the first folder.

Another option is save the folders you frequently jump to in the
favorites list.

Or save files, like a text file with all your IE passwords for example. Nice
tip Rock.
ps- You'll need to open Windows Explorer & save the file or folder from:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your name\Favorites\.
I then save them in the 'Links' folder
