I have set my folder options to show details but there are some folders that
I would like to have icons (eg Control panel) but no matter what i try i always end up with a small window with folder details. I have tried dragging the folder to the size I want and then selecting icons but when i reopen Control panel it reverts back to "details". Is there some kind of twesak that I can use (maybe in register) that i can do to have some folders with icons while others with details. |

Hi My computer>tools>folder options>view>scroll down and make sure "remember each folder's view settings" is ticked Click apply to all folders OK then open a folder and use the "View" Tab to select your choice for that particular folder Chas |

Sorry Chas. I have already tried that and it doesn't work. However i have
discovered that when I have Control panel open and set it up the way i want then i go to Folder options, select folder, advanced and then explore and set as default it seems to work. I only hope that when I reboot that this will stay that way.
