When I start installing Windows XP the installation will not go pass the
screen where the loading bar appears at boot up. Can anyone help me. Must I mentioned I get through the portion of install where the hard drive is formatted and the OS files are copied to disk. But the system hangs and stop responding. |

Failures to install are normally do to hardware problems. Start with testing the ram with these two programs. Let them run for several hours each, not just one pass. Memtest86+ http://www.memtest.org/ Windows Memory Diagnostic http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp Download a drive diagnostic utility from the drive manufacturer's web site and run that. -- Rock MS MVP Windows - Shell/User |
