Default Installing Windows XP

When I start installing Windows XP the installation will not go pass the
screen where the loading bar appears at boot up. Can anyone help me. Must I
mentioned I get through the portion of install where the hard drive is
formatted and the OS files are copied to disk. But the system hangs and stop
responding.

Failures to install are normally do to hardware problems. Start with
testing the ram with these two programs. Let them run for several hours
each, not just one pass.

Download a drive diagnostic utility from the drive manufacturer's web
site and run that.
