Hi
I've opened windows explorer and I've openedtwo folders with lots of files in each. I am trying to drag and drop files from one folder to the other but when I click on one of the folders, the other one disappears. I have to expand it again from the taskbar. I know this is usual but is there a way I can keep both folders open while I am dragging files across? -- Many thanks JD |

Do you mean you have Explorer opened twice? I am not sure what you mean when
you say "expand it again from the taskbar." Is there a folder icon placed in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen when you open a file from Explorer? I do not get that when I expand a folder in Explorer. Everything takes place inside Explorer and I do not get folder icons placed anywhere unless I send one to my desktop as a shortcut. You can expand one folder in the left pane of Explorer and expand the other folder in the right, then drag and drop. gman "Jackie D" wrote: > Hi > > I've opened windows explorer and I've openedtwo folders with lots of files > in each. Set the folder view to icons, and open two folders side-by-side using the
Tile option. http://www.microsoft.com/nz/tips/ -- Ramesh, Microsoft MVP Windows XP Shell/User Windows XP Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "Jackie D" <jackied@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 3AA0035-2300-4ABF-A7F8-B0E64C788A99@microsoft.com...Hi I've opened windows explorer and I've openedtwo folders with lots of files in each.
