Default windows explorer - keeping windows open

Hi

I've opened windows explorer and I've openedtwo folders with lots of files
in each. I am trying to drag and drop files from one folder to the other but
when I click on one of the folders, the other one disappears. I have to
expand it again from the taskbar. I know this is usual but is there a way I
can keep both folders open while I am dragging files across?

Many thanks

Do you mean you have Explorer opened twice? I am not sure what you mean when
you say "expand it again from the taskbar." Is there a folder icon placed in
the taskbar at the bottom of the screen when you open a file from Explorer?
I do not get that when I expand a folder in Explorer. Everything takes place
inside Explorer and I do not get folder icons placed anywhere unless I send
one to my desktop as a shortcut.

You can expand one folder in the left pane of Explorer and expand the other
folder in the right, then drag and drop.

Set the folder view to icons, and open two folders side-by-side using the
Tile option.
