Default system restore

After using Skype i seem to have some attack and now I am unable to access to
the System restore and the clock has gone from the task bar is there any way
I can sort this without reinstalling as I have no cd

Hi

Boot into Safe Mode and see if you can run a System restore.

I have tried this and it says that a device attached to the system is not
functioning

Hi,

Shut down the system and remove any attached devices. Restart the system
and try System Restore again.
