How can i get my cd rom driver to open? The emergency button doesnt help
either. Someone had said that there is a virus that does this? Thanx a bunch!! |

I'm not sure what you mean by "emergency button". On many drives there is a tiny hole in the front. Straighten out a metal paperclip. Now turn the computer off and stick the straightened paperclip into the tiny hole. Push in gently. That should bring the drive out. It is not very likely that a virus caused this, although the best way to find out if you have a virus is to scan with a full-featured current version (not earlier than 2004) antivirus with an active subscription and updated definitions.
