Default ++REMOVING A PROGRAMME++

My computer has been running more slowly than normal - i have gone through
all my programmes in the Add or Remove Programes feature in the Control
Panel. I am stuck on my Mcafee Virusscan - it won't let me uninstall it and
just sits showing the message 'Uninstalling McAfee Quickclean and Mcafee
Shredder Components'. Am ashamed to say my Mcafee was a copy programme and my
sneaking suspicion is that this is slowing my machine down, hence my trying
to remove it. All that i have left is Mcafee Virusscan and the Security
Center - everything else has gone. Please help!!!!

Brute force - open Explorer and delete all McAffee folders then search the
registry for all referneces to McAfee and delete them. (Do not screw up the
reistry or you may lose the ability to start Windows/)

This is where a registry fixer comes in handy. I use SystemSuite,
v-com.com. You can easily look down the list of the fixer's results and
easily identify McAfee. I used it to completely get rid of Norton off a
machine one time.
