Running WindowsXP SP2 and I have 2 applets running in control panel I don't
want there because they are redundant(i.e. I access them thru other avenues).
They are System,and Taskbar and Start Menu applets. What are their .cpls so I
can add them to the registry "don't load" key.

System Properties is sysdm.cpl.

Taskbar and Start Menu Properties does not have a .cpl file, it's a
Namespace object.

The CLSID is {0DF44EAA-FF21-4412-828E-260A8728E7F1}

I thought that was the system one but I wanted confirmation thanks. What do
I do about the Taskbar, I always access it by right clicking on the start
button so why have it in Control Panel, maybe a bit anal but if you know how
to get rid of it(off the Control Panel that is) I would appreciate it.

I access Start Menu and Taskbar Properties by right clicking on the Start
button or right clicking on the Taskbar also.

Just don't click on Start Menu and Taskbar when you open the Control Panel.

If you're not sure what any cpl file is just type or paste it into Start |
Run and see what opens.

i.e. Start | Run | Type: sysdm.cpl | Click OK
