Default Laptop Clock Loses time.

Recently I loaded some astronomy software onto both my desktop and laptop. I
noticed that after opening the program on the laptop, the system clock loses
up to 20 seconds a minute, only while the program is running. Once closed the
laptop clock continues normally yet this problem does not occur on the
desktop at all. The laptop is a Compaq EVO N1020V with Mobile Pentium 4,
1.8GHz both running XP Pro. Why would this only occur on the laptop and can
it be corrected ? Thanks,

Since the problem only occurs when the astronomy software is running,
contact the astronomy software's tech support for help with their
program. Obviously you have something on the laptop, either hardware
and/or software, that is causing this. There is no way for us to know
what it is, but if it is happening to you on a common brand laptop like
Compaq, in all probability it has happened to others. The astronomy
program support people are the ones who can help you.
