Never having heard of mount points, I created a mount point on my only
volume (C , which created a "c:\drive path" directory. Soon afterwards, myantivirus software took ages to scan my hard drive. After 20+ hours of scanning, I noticed I had nearly a million files on my disk! In the 'c:\drive path' JUNCTION is a copy of my c:\ drive, including a dir c:\drive path\drive path! There are many more mirrors until the XP limit is hit. How do I remove this JUNCTION point harmlessly? It all seems obvious now. Moral of story, never mount yourself! |
