Default Windows fail

My automatic windows fail. When I look in the event log I see the following
message which is posted every time I start up properly because it looks for
updates.

COM+-hændelsessystemet har fundet en ugyldig returkode under intern
behandling. HRESULT var 80040154 fra linje 44 af
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemo bj.cpp. Dette kan betyde,
at COM+-hændelsessystemet ikke er installeret korrekt. Forsøg at installere
COM+-hændelsessystemet igen.

It is in danish but it says that an illegal return code has been foune under
internal handling. HRESULT was 80040154 at line 44 of
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemo bj.cpp
This might mean that the COM+ event system is not installed correctly. Try
to install the COM+ event system again.

I haven't installed it - all windows was pre installed.

Any ideas what to do without refreshing and reinstall the whole PC.

PS. I have done all updates manually so I should be as protected as I can be.

Best regards

Do you mean automatic updates fails? If that's the case you might want
to post to the experts in the windows update newsgroup and provide more
information on how exactly does it fail, how you connect to the
internet, etc.
