For some reason when I double click on a folder to open it,
I get the "search for files and folders" window instead. I end up having to right click on the folder to find the "open" option in the right click menu to get it to open. This is a winXP pro laptop and it was not doing this a few days ago, I imagine I must have done something which I do not recall to cause this. Can someone please tell me how to repair this? it is interfering with my work to the nth degree. I checked folder options but could not find an item that I could relate to this problem. Thanks, Joan |

Thanks for your help, Will, it worked. I'd like to know what may have
created the problem. The only thing I can rememeber changing was the Windows Update and I swear that almost everytime I have an update something besides the update changes in my PC.
