I have Norton Anti-virus 2004 on one of my networked systems (I have a Dell
and a Laptop). I had one administrator and several ordinary users. My daughter has deleted my wife from the user (who was administrator) accounts and as I have no administrator now on the system I am not able to uninstall Norton. It keeps saying that I have no supervisor access. I am not able to get on the internet as Norton is blocking me from all but hpps// sites. I really need to uninstall Norton. All help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Do this by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The default password is a blank. Log into this account and go to the User Accounts applet and fix your wife's account. In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows. Have a little talk with your daughter. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!"
