Did a total system recovery. All music and most programs were
there(afterwards), but a lot of strange behavior afterwards.Such as right clicking on items in programs menu.Cause a small flash like menu opened and closed quickly.but nothing happens. Also folders that were made private in some profiles are now inaccesible(profile folders were still available after recovery).Certain folders opened in explorere cause a feeze of explorer(must use task manager to quit)but doesn't effect other explorer windows opened. Also not all programs on computer are listed in ADD/REMOVE programs list although they work.So far i've been able to re - install most progs and most games were still available. I am not sure what other info is needed. But can provide any needed I have installed all security updtes since recovery. I have an HP Media Center PC 1270n. Joe |

well, i can only help u with one thing, when explorer is down, like windows,
not internet, just check for updates, it used to happen to me, when it was down, i would go to start menu, click my computer; of course it didnt come up, but then, i use task manager to end the process, and since u opened my computer, it restarts explorer, then, its fresh (for a little bit of time) and u can go online and get updates "Joe Ashley" wrote: > Did a total system recovery. All music and most programs were > there(afterwards), but a lot of strange behavior afterwards.Such as right > clicking on items in programs menu.Cause a small flash like menu opened and > closed quickly.but nothing happens. Also folders that were made private in > some profiles are now inaccesible(profile folders were still available after > recovery).Certain folders opened in explorere cause a feeze of explorer(must > use task manager to quit)but doesn't effect other explorer windows > opened. Also not all programs on computer are listed in ADD/REMOVE programs > list although they work.So far i've been able to re - install most progs and > most games were still available. > > I am not sure what other info is needed. But can provide any needed > I have installed all security updtes since recovery. > I have an HP Media Center PC 1270n. > > Joe |

Did a total system recovery. WHY??
HP "System Recovery"? Not " Windows System Restore"?? If HP "System Recovery", that is HP software not Microsoft!!! You need help form HP!! http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...product&cc=us& "Joe Ashley" wrote: > Did a total system recovery. > > Joe |

You might think about saving all the important data, and doing a clean install. Why did you do a recovery in the first place? -- Rock MS MVP Windows - Shell/User |
