When I open windows explorer the my documents section opens. I would like to set it up so that "my documents" remain closed and "my computer" opens. Is it possible to set it up this way ? |

Windows Explorer Create a shortcut to My Computer
Right click the Windows Explorer shortcut | Properties | Shortcut tab | Replace the text in the Target box with: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} Click Apply | Click OK HOW TO: Change Windows Explorer Default View to My Computer http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;221878 You can also place a shortcut to My Computer on your Desktop and avoid everything listed above. Right click the Desktop | Properties | Desktop tab | Customize Desktop button | General tab | Desktop icons | Select: My Computer | OK your way out -- Hope this helps. Let us know. Received error msg stating "the name specified in the target box is not valid". Did a copy and paste so I had correct info ? That's why I like to use %windir%, %systemroot%, %homepath%, or
%allusersprofile% then it doesn't matter what the drive is. ;-) -- Hope this helps. Let us know.
