Reboot once for the change to take effect. If that does not help, verify the
registry value again to see if you've done it correctly. Alternately, you can use TweakUI.to automate this, but there is a small catch. See "Tweak UI" part in my previous post here: http://groups.google.com/group/micro...56153e503fcd47 -- Ramesh, Microsoft MVP Windows XP Shell/User Windows XP Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "Martynz" <martynz@paradise.net.nz> wrote in message news:%23XK6b%23DEGHA.3064@TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... Thanks Ramesh.
I did reboot and I did check the registry value and it was 4. I then tried TweakUI Option 4 (Never show drive letters) and it didn't do the trick so I went through every one of the 4 settings (rebooting each time) and this time it worked with Option 4.
