Default Standby command

What is the standby command for windows xp? Like to go to start>run> and
type in a command to put the computer to standby.

As far as I know there isn't. No need for alarm...

Shutdown.exe:

Note the endorsement from Jim (or at least the thanks) which means that if
it's accurate and the likes (and it appears to be) that it's 100% safe and
100% effective else Aumha wouldn't be associated with it.

nm, i have to disable hibernation for it to work

You may try this shutdown.exe utility
http://www.budja.com/shutdown/

From that page:

Log Off the current user
Shutdown (Turn Off) the computer
Restart the computer
Hibernate the computer (note that hibernation has to be enabled!)
Put the computer into Stand By (Sleep)

Yes.You have to disable hibernation for it to work.
