You format the drive/partition and install another operating system (if so desired). Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |

Only in certain circumstances is that available such as below
How to uninstall Windows XP and revert to a previous operating system http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303661/en-us Chris wrote: > I would like to know if there is a way to uninstall and operating system, > because i have not been able to find any information on it. |

To get rid of an operating system, you simply format the drive or partition on which it's installed. Why do you want to do this? What are you trying to accomplish? -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup |

The normal way to "uninstall" *any* operating system is to format the hard drive and install a new OS of your choice. Only if you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to backup the old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS, can you then boot into Safe Mode and click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions must be met for WinXP's uninstall option to be available. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html You can have peace.
