Could somebody please help me out? Recently, for some reason, the version of
Quicktime I have on my computer has stopped working. I had Quicktime version 6 but downloaded the newer version 7, and thats when I started having problems. When I'd go to the Apple site to view trailers, the broken film link icon would appear. So I thought it was a problem with QT 7, so I uninstalled it and installed QT 6 again. That did not work either for when I went onto the site it said I needed plugins to view pages on there, which it recommended was QT! So thought I'd get rid of 6 and download 7 with iTunes 6 again, but now half way through the installation process it just stops, at the point where it says "registering product" and doesn't install on my machine. So I decided to download QT Alternative which worked for a while, until I noticed that my DVD/CD drives had disappeared from My Computer & Windows Explorer! So I proceeded to perform a system restore to a time when I new thet'd be there. It worked, but for some reason it seemed to have uninstalled QT Alternative because that wasn't working! So I uninstalled everything to do with Quicktime on my machine and tried to download QTA again, did, installed it but it also said I need plugins when I went to the Apple site. So now I have no version of Quicktime on my machine, can somebody tell me whats going on? -- Thank you |

Besides the fact that both iTunes and Quicktime are poor products. What
version of Windows are you using? "anthony_cook" <ant81(remove this)@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:04A60D54-EC7E-4BFF-9309-7225932A624B@microsoft.com... > Could somebody please help me out?
