Default 2nd Hard Drive to store files

I have successfully installed a 2nd hard drive to store files( ie: pictures,
music, etc.) I have reassigned most all the programs to save files to that
drive BUT cannot get the start menu to rerouted to read "my Pictures" from
the new drive. I'm sure it's easy enough I just can't seem to figure it out.

Have you tried to move the folder to the D: drive?

To move a file or folder

1.. Open My Documents.
If the file or folder you want to move is not located in My
Documents or its subfolders, use Search to find it. To open Search,
click Start, and then click Search.

2.. Click the file or folder you want to move.
3.. Under File and Folder Tasks, click Move this file or Move this
folder.
4.. In Move Items, click the new location for the file or folder,
and then click Move.
Notes

a.. To open My Documents, click Start, and then click My Documents.
b.. To select a consecutive group of files, click the first file,
press and hold down SHIFT, and then click the last file. To select
files or folders in non-consecutive order, press and hold down CTRL,
and then click the items you want.
c.. You can also move a file or folder by dragging it to the desired
location.

Download tweak ui from microsoft.com. here is the link

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

Install it and run the program. Then on the left side, expand My
Computer and click on special folders. In the folder drop down box,
select My Documents and make sure the location is in the other hard
drive. If it isnt, change it. Then go in the drop down box to my
pictures and change it to the location you want it to be in.

Just change the target path for your My Documents to point at the new
drive....in the properties of the My Documents icon on the desktop. There's
really no need to tell most applications where to store data - if they're of
recent vintage, they probably follow the My Documents target anyway.
