Default Host File Too Large Message

When I run Webroot Spy Sweeper, I get a message that my host file is
too large. How large is too large, and what can I do about it? Or do
I even need to worry about it?

Default Re: Host File Too Large Message

See http://support.webroot.com/ics/suppo...asp?deptID=776

Which to me is a bunch of hooey. (Who cares about Spysweeper's Host File
Shield? If you know your hosts file is OK, turn it off.)

For a workaround, see:

Editors Note: in most cases a large HOSTS file (over 135 kb) tends to slow
down the machine...
