Default Service Pack 2

I have a Sony VAIO VGC-RB44G computer, with Windows XP MCE 2005, and Service
Pack 2 already pre-installed. I have having some problems with Internet
Explorer, it is loading slow and when popups come up it freezes for about a
min. Can I use my Service Pack 2 CD and install Service Pack 2 again?

P.S. Service Pack 2 is not listed under Add/Remove programs.

Thanks In Advance

You need to reformat your computer and reinstall Service Pack 2.

Ryan;
SP-2 may not show in Add/Remove Programs.
Right click My Computer and click Properties.
Does it say "Service Pack 2" on the 4th line under "System"?
If not, SP-2 is not installed.
Follow the Service Pack Installation Checklist:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm
Follow the checklist carefully to help be sure all pre-existing problems are
resolved.

If SP-2 is installed, Follow this to help clean the computer:

Have you done a thorough scan for malware in safe mode using a variety
of AV and anti-spyware programs?

Ryan;
You should not reinstall SP-2 since it came preinstalled on your computer.
You may be able to perform a Repair Installation of Windows XP as long as
the manufacturer provided the CD.
Also, since SP-2 is preinstalled, there will not be an uninstall option in
Add/Remove Programs.

Follow the second link on my last post to check for other problems before
any type of reinstallation is attempted.

That's because your OS is XP2, ie SP2 was not an upgrade, but rather
part of the OS.
