You can buy one at a local computer store, or a bigger "office supply" or "electronics" store. You can also order computer components from all kinds of places "online". Shop around and get a good deal $$ and remember, even if you buy "OEM" from your local computer shop, to get one that includes all the software. I would recommend you get a DVD RW because so much is done with DVD these days that CD-RW is a bit antiquated. Talk to a few retailers and they should be able to set you up good. I use the LG Super Multi www.lge.com but I'm pretty sure there are other good makes and models you might look at as well. |

Some yes. There are some tricks even that you might pull to get free DVD movie playback. But you will have to discover these for yourself. ![]() Better would be to go to a reputable local computer shop that sells DVD-RW units 'OEM' but that includes a software package which has, say, NERO [for burning] and PowerDVD [for movies]. You should be able to get the whole thing for a reasonable price. |

If i would download that do u think i would beable > to burn songs to a cd then? I doubt it. Sounds bogus to me. I could be wrong of course, but I don't think so. If you have the DVD burner installed you should be able to do so even without CD Creator using Windows Media Player. But first you need the drive that can do the burning, right? You can't burn anything without a burner, eh? I would wonder about downloading stuff like that "for free" anyway. I do not think it is "kosher". You should be able to get the DVD RW drive bundled with all the software you need already, and not have to worry about downloading anything. But it's your call. If you think you are getting the software from a reputable source ... but it doesn't sound quite right to me, especially the version number - I think they are up to version 8 now. My advice? Just go to a local reputable computer shop and buy a DVD RW "OEM" at a reasonable price and make sure it comes bundled with burner software and a DVD movie player - then you will be set. |
