Default OT: Dell DJ Ditty

Anyone else having problems with their Dell DJ Ditty portable MP3 player?
After attempting to apply firmware update A03, mine is completely dead.
Windows won't recognize it and it won't power on. The display will light up
with the "transferring" icon if I attempt the firmware update again, but
that's it. I've already spoken to Dell and they're sending me a replacement.

Well, that might seem like the obvious reason, but actually the Dell forums
are full of posts revealing the same issue. Dell is sending out many
replacement units. One guy is on his third one, and it's doing OK.

It's sort of hard to do something wrong when it's a step-by-step wizard from
Dell.
