okay ; Ihave four cd drives ; two on the motherboard and two on an ultra ata
/ 133 pci card . I've switched drives around they all work on the motherboard
but if i put a disk in the one thats connected to the card my screen goes out
and my computer restarts . I'tll do this untill i take the disk out .

i've uninstalled the hardware , reinstall it, nothing changes .
my computer read that everything is working ok with no conflicts.

my cpu has windows xp home edition w/sp2 installed .
before i updated my cpu , every thing was working but i can't restore to
no dates in sys restore . my cpu is new w/no viruses

i need help.. It would help me plenty .. thanks in advance to everyone

You have 4 "cd" drives? or 4 'hd" drives?

If you put a "cd" in the one and only one cd drive, your computer will not
boot?
Is this a bootable cd or data/music cd?

You said there are 2 on the PCI card. Only affects one?

What is boot orderin computer BIOS?

post boot.ini file. Start>Run>C:\boot.ini
copy paste here.
assuming you boot from windows via "C" drive
