Default Nvidia GeForce FX 5700 Ultra Driver Problem

Hello,

Im trying to update my Nvidia GeForce FX 5700 Ultra with the next version of
OpenGL and i cant because it says the Microsoft logo doesnt "validate" my
hardware... Even though its Nvidia and its never given me problems before.
Can anyone help me out, if more info is needed i will try...

If I understand correctly, you're trying to install new nVidia graphics
drivers, which and they're not WHQL approved (signed).

Go into the System control panel, Hardware tab, Driver Signing button. I
presume that it's set to "block". I suggest that you change it to "warn".
That'll allow you to install unsigned drivers, but only if you choose.

I've had minor problems with drivers newer than 81.85 (the last WHQL set),
so I'm staying with those for the moment. I've been using unsigned nVidia
drivers for years. The betas sometimes aren't quite ready for normal use,
but I don't recall ever having serious trouble with them.


Address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.
