Default combining drives

Hello:
I have an external hard drive and I wish to combine its' volume with my
computers hard drive. Can someone let me know what the procedure for doing
this? I would appreciate any help.

One cannot combine or merge partitions/volumes
using two different hard drives.

Start by installing a larger drive in the PC and copy the external
drives contents to it.

You can not combine the hard drives. To do this, you usually require that the
hard drives are on the same interface (IDE or SCSI) and I do not think you can
combine an external drive with an internal one.
