The motherboard on my system has just been replaced. I have 6 USB ports on
the motherboard plus 4 USB ports on a PCI card for a total of 10 ports. The system appears to be configured for USB2 because the device manager displays "USB2 Enhanced Host Controller" and "VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller". My question is, are all ports configured for USB2 or are some also configured for USB1? How can I tell? The motherboard is a ASUS P4P800SE. The BIOS has the following configuration: USB function: 8 USB ports USB 2.0 Controller: Enabled Thanks in advance, |

Your motherboard manual should contain this info. Anna |

The fact that BOTH controllers show Enhanced means they both support USB2.
All USB2 ports are backward compatible for USB 1. -- "Ian" <Ian@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news DE2E6EE-332D-4C77-AFF4-B9E144541D83@microsoft.com...> The motherboard on my system has just been replaced.
