Go here. Your drive can NOT do this!

According to LiteOn, your particular Model SOHW - 1633S
specifications do not even mention LightScribe capability or support.

That is a big 104! After checking all the specs I could find.

(How embarrasing.)

It appears that I was misled by the young salesman at Staples. That and my
eyes getting older and not correctly identifying the logo on the drive door.

Oh well.

Good call y'all..... I still have a pretty decent burner.

(How do I show a red face in an emoticon?) :-)

Cheers and many thanks anyway..

Jim

"BLUSH!"

It seems that you, and several other folks, are correct.

Thanks anyway.

This looks like a good group of folks so I'll hang around and see what is
going on.

I've been building my own boxes since 40 megahertz was the king of the crop.

But, I was tossed a curve ball when Hurricane Katrina put four foot of water
in my house. The brine ate up the gold plating on the processer pins and
ruined them along with most of the other components. Saved the hard drives
but had to install them in off-the-shelf systems due to logistics.

(How I miss my Athlon 64s with 1.5 to 2 gigs of memory and dual 256 meg
graphics cards per system.)

At any rate, and just my personal opinion, off-the-shelf comes up short.

Oh, but thanks so much from all of you for your help.

Cheers!

Jim
