My system works disk doesn't do anything, other disks work fine, but this
one won't open at all. I went to my computer, and the disk isn't even recognized. I tried the run, and .exe feature on "run" and still nothing. |

Since you haven't given us much information about your system or the error, that's as specific as I can be. Make sure your computer is clean: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...moving_Malware If by your post you mean that autorun doesn't work with your NIS disk, try it in another machine. If it doesn't work there, perhaps the disk is damaged. Otherwise, contact Symantec for help with their products: http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/index.html Malke -- MS-MVP Windows User/Shell Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic" |

I just completely wiped my hard drive and re-installed XP, I installed NIS on
my desktop with no problems. I already have Norton internet security installed, firewall etc.. The disk opens fine on my desktop, just not on the laptop but any other disk works in the laptop cd drive. I'm really buggered. Symantec on line help is pretty much worthless. Talking to someone costs a fortune. Please, anyone help!! "Malke" wrote: > socohenry wrote: > > > My system works disk doesn't do anything, other disks work fine, but > > this one won't open at all. If you put the NIS disk in the drive and then go to My Computer, does the CD drive show that NIS is in it? If so, right-click the icon and choose "Explore" or "Open". Look for something like Setup.exe and double-click it to run. If that doesn't work, try copying the contents of the disk to a folder on your hard drive and running Setup from there.
