Can someone explain how do I Format a hard drive, I have a C drive, main
windows xp on it ....... have a D drive that I would like to clean format,
could a kind person point me in the right direction ....... many thanks

From the Control Panel Administrative Tools applet go to Computer
Management. You will be able to format your D: drive from there.

Another way to get you to the location already suggested to you is to right
click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'..
