In looking at your lengthy report, I see you need to free up space on your C:
drive ASAP, 3% free is bad news.. Also, have you tried reinstalling
USBSTOR.SYS..? Search for usbstor.inf, advanced search in Windows Explorer,
it will be in the c:\windows\inf folder/dir and right click, install and
reboot, see if that can solve anything.. If not, free up at least 5-10GB or
more of space on your C: drive, see if that makes a difference, the more free
space the better..
Look through these web pages for your main board and investigate the
possibilities of updating your system.. Compare with the offered update on
the Gateway site (link I previously provided)..Using Everest ID your BIOS
AA#s, at your discretion..

At least Gateway used a decent mobo and not some generic unknown brand name
as the folks at HP and Compaq do, to name a few..
