Hello,
recently I accidentally deleted my ati card information from the change/remove programs screen. I downloaded the driver update for radeon mobility 9000 and it did not work. I soon realized that the original card was simply not displaying among devices when attempting to add it back. All that showed up were a number of rage cards when I went to the ati section of the hardware add menu. There are alot of those old cards "in" my computer, and as a result none of the drivers that are compatible with my card(the 9000) that I Know is in there will install because they dont see it. The biggest issue is getting windows to recognize i have the card in there. How should i troubleshoot this? Thanks |

try installing the OMEGA drivers from this site
http://www.omegadrivers.net/ They worked for me, since the original ATI drivers are a pain in the neck. What you deleted was NOT the driver, its unneeded software for interrogating
and setting refined settings for an ATI card. I purposefully don't install this software, just the driver package. Devices do not show up in add/remove programs section of any version of Windows. Look in device mangler (manager). -- Jonny "Luke" <Luke@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A3A41C95-5B35-454D-9FA7-92A3DDE61344@microsoft.com... > Hello, > > recently I accidentally deleted my ati card information from the > change/remove programs screen.
