Default Off screen Display

Hi,
I am having a problem with the boundries of my desktop.
for some reason i can drag a window halfway off my screen.
I do not wish this to happen.
if i maximize a window it will only reach the sides of my monitor, and won't
go over the boundry, but a smaller resized window will.
can some one help me to stop my windows from disapearing half way off my
screen. its like 'windows' thinks i have a wide screen monitor.

i have a 17" monitor
and a geforce fx5900xt
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Marcus.

Unless I am missing something, this is normal.

The user is presumed to know where and the window is to be placed and
how much is desired to be visible. If you wish the system to assist you
in placement, right-click on the task bar and select "Tile Windows...."
