i've downloaded it but dont know which bit it is,
is it the Memory Bus Properties ? under that bit it says Real Clock 133 MHz Effective Clock 133 MHz under Processor Properties its got External Clock 133 MHz Maximum Clock 1800 MHz Current Clock 1467 MHz and the overclock bit has CPU Speed: CPU Clock 1469.67 MHz CPU Multiplier 11.0x CPU FSB 133.61 MHz (original: 133 MHz) Memory Bus 133.61 MHz and under SPD its got Memory Type SDRAM Memory Speed PC133 (133 MHz) their the only things i could see that were about memory, "Jim Macklin" wrote: > Download and run EVEREST free from www.lavalys.com > It will tell you every detail about your computer hardware > and the software. > > > -- > The people think the Constitution protects their rights; > But government sees it as an obstacle to be overcome. > some support > http://www.usdoj.gov/olc/secondamendment2.htm > > > > |

it just says 256mb and 512mb but only at 133MHz, foned up pc world and they
told me to just take the memory out of the pc and take it down to them and they can sort it out, as i gave them the speed and the make of the pc etc.. but their system didnt recongise it, "Alias" wrote: > mand wrote: > > > just done that and got his > > > > Computer Manufacturer > > Giga-Byte > > Computer Model > > GA-7VKMLS > > CPU Manufacturer > > AuthenticAMD > > CPU Family > > AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1700+ > > CPU Speed > > 1469 MHz > > Front-Side Bus Speed > > 133 MHz > > Currently Installed Memory > > 128 MB > > Maximum Memory Capacity > > 1024MB > > Total Number Of Memory Slots > > 2 > > Available Memory Slots > > 1 > > > > does that mean i can only use a 133MHz speed? > > What RAM does Crucial recommend? > > Alias > > > > "Alias" wrote: > > > > > >>mand wrote: > >> > >>>Memory Type SDRAM > >>> Memory Speed PC133 (133 MHz) > >>> > >>>their the only things i could see that were about memory, > >> > >>That's it but which 133 that will work on your computer is another > >>question. If nothing else works Mand the best way to figure out what memory you have is
to look at the chips on the memory. Course you have to be able to open your PC and get to it. There will usualy be 8 or 9 flat black chips with writing on them. Each chip will have the same code on it. Look this number and letter combination up on google and it will give you a idea of what the chip is. We sometimes get customers bringing in unmarked memory. This is the best way ive found to figure it out. Also the chip may very well be marked. To help you out I looked up the manuale for this board. Its a DIMM board. Considering that you have a 133 front side bus you will most likely want 3.3v PC133 SDRAM. If you have more questions just let us know.
