Default unallocated space

Well, I hate having 2 drives on my laptop, The C drive is always too small.
So I decided to delete the partition, thinking this would make it one drive.
Now the exD drive shows up as unallocated space. How do I join it to the C
drive space, or make the c drive bigger and have a smaller D drive. Thanks.

With third party software (e.g. Partition Magic). Unless you're willing to
repartition your hard disk and do a clean install.

without asking.

No. Windows has determined the booting sequence and the booting
drive/partition. Since you are asking this question, I feel that you may not
be too inclined to working with the Windows internal configuration file(s)
(ie: Registry.)

The D drive is a partition which is normally hidden and contains the image
used to restore your computer to it's factory fresh state. If you have not
created a Restore CD set using the software
provided by the manufacturer, and you delete the D partition, you will *NOT*
be able to restore your computer.

Perhaps you should look at getting an external harddrive. They are very
inexpensive.
