Default Aquiring a video card

Well recently I purchased the game 'F.E.A.R' and had no problems installing
on my winXP pro until I tried to play it and a box came up saying "The video
card in this computer is not supported. Refer to readme.txt file for more
information." It turns out I need Radeon 9000 or higher and I only have a
7000, I was wondering if there's any possiblity of downloading this card
somehow? If not and I have to purchase one, Is it possible for a newb like me
install it myself or do u have get a trained person to do it. Sorry for the
absurd questions I'm just not familiar with the technical side of
computers.Thanks in advance...

Can you "download" this card. Absolutely NOT. It is a physical device. You
have to purchase it at a well stocked computer store.

Removing and adding a graphic display card is not too diffiicult. There are
a few ins/outs regarding ATI cards and accompanying software.
Disabling onboard display is similar in relation to this. You can mess it
up. You didn't say if the display was a card or onboard, AGP or not, AGP
speed capability of the motherboard etc.
The 9200SE is relatively inexpensive, 4x, 128MB DDR sounds like it may work
with that game per your inputs here.

You can't download something physical like a card. You have to buy one. Installing is easy if you follow the instructions carefully. I read everything I could get my hands on to prepare. Hey, if I can do it anyone can.
